Thanks for all your help. Still haven't ticketed this. I need to fly AA metal all the way so adding legs in Europe (operated by BA) does not help. What I am seeing is LHR-ORD-PHL-ORD-LHR all on AA metal at 704$ ai. Going through MIA adds 150$. Going through LAX adds more. I am trying to go through RDU instead but having trouble selecting only aa metal on most search engines.
