USAirways credit card serviced by Barclays bank declined due to immigration status... As per the guy in credit Deptt they only issue credit card to Citizens and permanent resident who have a green card..I am a legal permanent resident whose green card is under processing and am expected to get it soon...I had applied for the card in response to a offer received from US Airways in mail. No such condition was mentioned in that offer letter. I spent 30 minutes convincing the guy and his manager that I have all documents to prove that I am a legal resident whose green card is under processing but they kept repeating that it's a company policy and they cannot issue the card to me.....

They agreed that I have excellent credit history and that I am eligible in all other ways but because it's a company policy wrt to permanent residen status that they cannot issue the card.. Any ideas as how i can tackle this situation
