It depends. With CX you can normally get a USA-HKG-XXX with virtually a small tag on price than USA-HKG

Otherwise Airasia fly to Thai / Malay from HK, Jetstar to Singapore and couple more. For other destination you can explore zuju.com.hk or Priceline.com.hk for ex HKG options.
