Agreed. Granted that it was over 2 years ago but I often flew AKL-WLG-AKL on 'O' class tickets issued by a travel agent. That 'O' class fare was always the same cost as the Red-e-Deal on QF's website. Also whenever I booked directly with QF on a Red-e-Deal I always got 'O' class.
Have just done a dummy booking AKL-SYD-AKL (out 3/3 in 13/3) on QF.co.nz and Expedia.co.nz and the Sale fare (which is even cheaper than the Red-e-Deal fare) is available on both websites for the same price right down to the last cent.
So it looks like nothing has changed and that indeed travel agents still have access to the cheaper QF fares.
thadocta -- Can you cite an example of which QF sale fares are not available on which routes? I admit I have only looked at domestic and trans-tasman fares so it is possible I am missing some other market where QF does hold back sale/red-e-deal inventory from travel agents.
