Hi,

I have a $250 e-cert that I want to use for an ORD-LAX trip in Jan for the DEQM promotion for fare class W. However, when I apply the e-cert code along with the upgrade request Systemwide Region 2, I get the following error message:

You have entered an electronic certificate or a promotion code along with a request for an upgrade. To proceed using your discount or promotion code please remove the upgrade request.

Is this something new or always the case? My experience so far has been only combining the 20% off economy fares cert on the International flights along with SWU upgrade feature and it has never been an issue. It shows me W class fares along with the discount. Has that changed as well?
