Could he have taken the high road and just stayed out of it? Of course. But on the same token..The feelings of Catman amongst others on this board in regards to Oz and Doc's return was well enough known without him having to post in the thread. The high road was bypassed in that case as well. Had Oz done the exact same thing to Catman, I have a feeling he would have been seriously lambasted.

missy,
I guess I don't understand how my comments are an "overreaction" or "extreme" as you put it or how "the feelings of catman amongst others" somehow justify the comment that is the subject of discussion here. First, how do the well known feelings of others have any relevance in this discussion? How do these feelings of others justify pit's reply on this thread? Second, those supposedly well known feelings of catman weren't known to me but I've only met him once at the same do at which I met you. I must be spending too much time flying off the handle and not enough reading the right threads where I could be getting involved in these meaty discussions. Maybe I'm missing something too, did catman post in the oz and doc's back threads? (I don't know I didn't read them other than the first few posts). The only post I saw by catman was on pit's thread, a thread that I took to be designed as a joke, and I didn't "get" catman's post to be all that out of sync with the other responses to that thread.

My total of 275 posts in almost 3 years I guess are evidence of how often I overreact and how often I've gotten involved in these types of discussions. Sure its IJAFIBB but that doesn't mean we all have to act like it's JAFIBB when we are on the board and only act like human beings when we see each other at do's. Anyway back to semi-lurk mode.

By the way, Missy, a friend provided me with a ticket to the mariners-yankees on Aug 16th so I am hoping to attend the sea-do.
