Why? Most of that article, and most of this thread, has nothing to do with 'rudeness'. It deals with infrastructure issues, and other issues not having anything to do with customer service.

OP actually comes from two of the worst airports in the US from an infrastructure and customer standpoint. And YYC is where I have actually experienced rudeness from various staff, on various occassions.

But most of the comments here deal with things other than customer service. LHR, CDG, and LAX are all listed, and none were purpose built to handle the volume of air traffic they currently handle. It is rare that an airport such as MUC can be purpose built for planned expansion. Of the other two, one has a poor rating mostly due to the dangerous approach, and the other because it was rated worst for Sleepinginairports.com. The author of that 'article' (it is really a very poorly constructed photo essay) doesn't apply the same guidelines for each of the listed airports, and nowhere does he address perceived 'rudeness'.

Perhaps a good idea to log on and give them feedback, for improvement?
I've participated in countless in person surveys at FRA over the years. I can assure you that my specific comments have been addressed with many of the recent improvements. Airside there is a marked increase in dining and variety of shopping and services, the new B gate SEN lounge is fabulous, there is expedited security for connections, the new pier has opened, and for arrivals by train or long layover the Squaire continues to growing its tenancy.

I'm also curious how many of you have used FRA recently, and more than once? It struggles due to size, but again, I don't consider that RUDENESS. And what some of you think is bad (bus gates) some of us consider to be positive. There is a silly rant thread on the M&M forum currently showing differing viewpoints from those of us who actually use FRA on a regular basis.
