I have also received my first statement, covering pretty much solely foreign spend, bar a couple of items at LHR and the annual fee, I have been awarded 2.14 Avios per £ spent according to the statement.

If they do apply the bonus later and simply times the Avios by 12.5 or whatever it is, it does indeed look like foreign spend may count twice, which is good news, although I probably would've bought a couple of extra things had I known!

Its obviously not confirmed though and we still have no confirmation whatsoever that the bonus will take, from my experiences with the card so far, I fear we may have to make a few phone calls in order to get the bonus, although I would love to be surprised otherwise and have the bonus miles suddenly appear without any chasing needed
