You probably want to travel on the ground in Europe, but with a good agent you can even book the inter-Europe within the single award routing.
I've done several of these in BE or the old WBC for 100,000 miles total including two European stopovers with various intermediate connections in AMS or CDG.
Not sure your future wife actually has to make the call, but enter her SM number and pin to be routed to a more experienced agent who might be more helpful.
