I believe that existing bookings can be changed as long as it remains with the original conditions. I believe Nicci said that you could change for instance JFK-HKG-DPS to JFK-HKG-BKK without having to 'reprice' the ticket. Now logic would dictate that this would also apply to changing the origin, as long as it is within the constraints of the original ticket.
