You are showing your age ... I also remember when they sent Gold Members voucher for discounts for a reward booking based on their tier miles for the year. 100,000 miles equalled 50% discount and then on up to 200,000 miles equalled 100% discount. DXB to AKL return in F cost me 21,000 miles ... even bigger sigh ...
