I sprung for 2x F from ORD to MNL for my in-laws 35th anniversary pre avios in F to Asia on Cathay...(wife made me do it ) and they now want to change the destination as well as the dates. The complications are, they'll have to fly out of YYZ to accommodate the date change. There is just nothing out of ORD around the new dates. My concern/question is that in effect I'll have to change both departure & arrival points with the HKG connection being the only constant.

Will BA let me "modify" the booking with such extreme changes? Is there a strategic way to approach this? I was thinking of changing the departure date & airport first...paying the change fees etc...getting tickets re-issued, then turning around and changing the final destination. Does anyone have any experience with this type of change since the ec/adios 'screwege' got implemented for us yanks?
