HKG-BKK TG

Route: HKG-BKK
Airline: Thai Airways flight 607
Departure: Dec 6th 8:50PM(ON Time)

After finishing my things in Hong Kong, I headed to the airport around 6PM. I checked in at the Airport Express counter in Central and surprisingly they were able to issue me my boarding pass for my flight to Kathmandu the next day! I proceeded to the airport and hung out at the Thai Lounge for a bit. Grabbed some food to eat. The food wasn't so great, but luckily they served a meal on short flight.

I was looking forward to this particular flight since I was seated in the upper deck of the 747. I guess it's been a dream of mine to fly on the upper deck of this aircraft and I was finally given the chance. Once I boarded, I found that I preferred the TG seats over Asiana. The recline seemed to be better. However, I felt that Asiana had the better food hands down. Presentation seemed to be lacking on the TG flight. Service however was comparable on both- very attentive and typical asian style.

It was a very short flight comparative to the previous days flights. only around 2 hours which made me very curious as to why they run such a large aircraft between the 2 cities. Arrived into BKK on time. My first time at this airport as well. Had to be bussed to the terminal, but I found it to be fairly efficient. Had to overnight there since my flight to KTM was not until the next day.Immigration was a breeze + there's a special line for business class passengers. I had prebooked a cheap hotel fairly nearby which I took a cab to(ended up getting ripped off for a couple bucks i found out).. Hotel wasn't so bad for the price I paid. (20USD). Had a nice chat with the owner the next morning. Very nice Thai fellow just trying to stay active while he's retired. Guess that's all to report on this segment.
