I applaud the FAs for doing this. I get highly annoyed when people feel the announcements regarding electronic devices being turned off doesn't seem to pertain to them. I wouldn't mind them ejecting all passengers who don't comply. Regardless of whether it is a safety issue or not, the rule is the rule. Comply or get off of the damn plane.

On a recent flight from EWR-IAH, there was a person sitting next to me who refused to turn off his laptop, mobile phone and bluetooth. Despite several announcements, plus courtesy requests directly made to him, he continued to talk until we were on the runway starting to takeoff. The attendants were too nice to enforce it. IMO, He should've had his clock cleaned immediately when he didn't comply and we were taxiing away from the gate, because he'd been told at least 3 times by then.
