So I went Bangkok Air - what an experience. This airline is just incredible. First off, ANYONE with a ticket can use their clubs. Free internet, nice food, attentive service, newspapers - nice.
The lounges are nice and the cost is often less on PG. Agreed.

Depends upon what you want to use the points for, but if they include your regular routes on their 1/2 price deals then yes, it's nice.

A few months ago I nearly went bankrupt on Air Asia with a heavy carry-on and that really p-d me off.
30 kg for members, and 40 kg for statused pax, is quite nice.

So I am converted. In future it is Bangkok Airways and Seyonara Baby to Air Asia!

I wouldn't go as far to say delicious, but it's a meal.
The problem I have with PG is that their offices are only open until 8PM weekdays and 5PM on weekends. After hours they can't be contacted.
All in all I only fly Air Asia on limited routes and try to steer away from them except when necessary. PG has my business on the short international SE Asia routes (where TG doesn't grant any miles for normal fares) and domestic Thailand flights and we've been quite happy with them.
