My "fast payment" from an HSBC account took two working days to appear on the Lloyds system, although the available credit was adjusted after 24 hours. I think that the 2 hour figure they quote is only for payments from another Lloyds account
I have been paying the balance using faster payments and it credits within two hours.

I don't think any transactions take place on a bank holiday.

Those of us in the 6-7 figure income bracket are presumably stuffed, although for the heck of it I will try to apply nearer to 28 Feb, and also via Ms Raffles, although she is in 6-figure territory so also likely to fail.
Ahem! I have had the card since November, albeit with a miserly credit limit, and I don't think I fall into categories 1 and 2 above. So there is some hope for other applicants, although it must be very frustrating to be rejected. I have cycled four payments through the card so far, having spoken to Lloyds first, who said this would not be a problem.
