BA hype? I call it lies

My case is typical. My home airport is geneva, Switzerland
from GVA return
.................UK......Oslo....Cape Town..Bangkok..Buenos Aires..Sydney
BA miles....9 000..15 000.....50 000......80 000......70 000........100 000
Avios.........9 000..24 000.....59 000......69 000......79 000........109 000
% increase none....+60%......+18%......-13.7%*....12.85%........+9%
* ALSO the surcharges “for airport taxes & increased cost of fuel” has gone up again on most routes.
e.g. The Surcharge for one-way in club GVA-BKK which was €201 in September 2011 is now is 265€!

On 97% of our routes there will be either no change or the route will require even fewer Avios points than the current BA Miles

Oh yer – go stuff yourself BA. You have just given us another reason to NOT fly with you. I already fly much more often and generally much cheaper with Easyjet, who It should be noted are slowly forcing BA off routes they have run for years (e.g. GVA-MAN route and for most of the year Geneva-Gatwick which goes right back to the British Caledonian days. Now there was a good airline before BA swallowed them.

My advice
1/ Fly other airlines – in particular low cost.
An easyjet flight from Geneva to UK generally costs less than the BA surcharge using avios!
2/ Use up your devalued avios as quick as you can –before they devalue them any more.
3/ Don't collect any more avios.
