Hyatt hands down for me. I average HNL 4X year for work. The Sheraton is def more orientated toward tourists. The elevators alone drive me crazy.

As far as the room goes - the regular rooms are more than depressing!

I'd pick Princess Kaiulani over the Sheraton if I had to stay in their regular room. Better odds of an upgrade at PK - where I've stayed in renovated suite with hardwood floors on top or next to top floor. Their views are spectacular and if you shop around you get rate around $100/nt or less. I bop between PK and Hyatt during promo time. Easy move since they are across street from one another.
