You were lucky.
On a CO TATL flight in business, the FA knocked the cart into my seat, spilled about a cup of red wine on my jeans. Profusely apologized. Thats about it.
I did get a fresh blanket. The jeans got stained.
Oh well. Didnt matter that much (I dont wear expensive clothes in general, and definitely not on a plane).
