I had back to back separate reservations at the same Homewood Suites hotel 29-31 DEC 2009 and 31 Dec to 4 Jan 2010.

I did this as I needed 2 days more days to re-qualify Diamond for 2010 (not enough base points or stays that year either to make it). I was told by the Diamond Desk before hand that since I split it up and checked out (changed rooms too) before the new year that the first reservation would count towards my 2009 stays/days.

What showed up on my on-line account was 1, 6 night stay for 2010. When I called Diamond Desk to try and get it "fixed" I was told that for 2009 they were showing me at 58 nights for 2009 but that I re-qualified Diamond for 2010 AND got 6 days credit for 2010 (even though 2 of those nights were in 2009).

I had been Diamond for 8 years consecutive prior to 2010 so I am not sure did I get credit for both years or did the system automatically requal me due to being close. I didn't get what I considered a definitive answer from speaking with a few HH reps on this issue before and after it happened as they all told me slightly different things.
