That's very true. AA gets seats literally at the extreme rear of the plane (assuming Economy Class). And the two computer systems (AA and IB) do not speak to each other.
And watch out if you have a connection that you don't make. Not only are you at the extreme back of the plane, you will be put on the last flight out of the day.
