Best advice for cancelling Citi AA cards

Hello All,

Having utilitized the two-app process in August, I picked up the Citi AA visa and amex with no intention of using them for anything other than the sign up bonuses. I dont fly AA as often and put my spend toward the chase and amex cards. Picking up the Citi Business card for the sign up is likely in the works. I foresee no problem getting it, but Ive been lazy. My plan was to keep the personal cards until about the 10 month mark and then start the process of cancelling. Should there be any reasoning to cancel sooner?

Some alternative options I'm considering are:
1. Cancel the "amex" (not really an amex) in Jan. but transfer the credit line +15K to the visa if I want to keep a larger credit ratio making it 35K. Then come July look to see what retention offer option may be.

2. Cancel both cards early only to speed 18month wait to see what else comes from Citi AA later.

Having a very large credit ratio and long credit history are always good for one's credit score, so, any reason to cancel either or both earlier than near their annual renewal?

Without a lof of experience with Citi, I've read up on the retention offers, but any better suggestions or maximizing the best option with these cards is appreciated.
