Regarding my experience at the SIKL, I don't think the staff was being malicious; I think they were acting on an earlier staff briefing where they were told there were no suites available, and then subsequently, there was a cancellation - more "lazy" than "malicious"; but more over her attitude was very abrupt and cold.
I do agree that SPG Platinums and CEM guests do have an important role to play in the SW ecosystem; because customer feedback is very important and seasons SW travelers know SW properties better than the vast majority SW employees.
When we work as an integrated part of the team, as customers, customer play a very important role; as you point out. SW does recognize this at the executive and management layers, and this is one of the reasons I'm pleased with the direction SW is going.
