Travel Waiver for SFO/IAH 29 Dec 2011 and Impact to UA's Operations
I just got a flight cancellation message from United about my flight tomorrow afternoon from SFO-SAN. The reason for the cancellation is weather, to me that seems quite impressive that United already today almost 24hrs before the flight knows the weather will be bad. To me it sounds like a bad excuse and a way to avoid paying compensation. I really do not care about the compensation, I just want to get home.
Anyone with more insight as to 1) why it was cancelled? 2) where is the plane coming from? I guess that could be the reason 3) any good alternatives? I will have to wait 5+ hrs at SFO tomorrow for the next UA flight to SAN as I am connecting from UA901 from Frankfurt.
