First time flying Business Class. Flying OZ/TG/IT/TK/AS

Prologue

This trip had been months in the planning. Happy to say I just completed an amazing trip, so I decided to write a report on it. Earlier this year there was the mistake deal on Turkish from HKG-LAX via Istanbul for $400 in premium economy(Comfort Class). I had that booked thinking that I would redeem miles huge stash of miles from various credit card bonuses to somewhere in SE Asia and then hook up with the Turkish ticket. Originally was thinking of doing a standard run around SE Asia, but somehow i got the itch to visit India. Did some research and added Nepal in the mix.

So off to book my tickets. Having never flown business class in my life, decided to splurge on my ticket to Nepal. It's normally expensive to fly Y into KTM anyway. I booked using Continental Miles. I tried to get creative to maximize my time in Business Class. Originally i was booked YUL-FRA-MCT(23hr stop)-BKK-KTM. However, due to a last minute change in plans, I had to reroute over the pacific. (* A only has one flight to Kathmandu per day from Bangkok)

Final routing to Nepal was YUL-ORD-ICN-HKG-BKK-KTM. A steal for just 60,000 miles one way
