If you log into BAEC, then on the EC main screen, where in the bottom left side is the Create a Trip area, put in precise dates, Book with Avios and Get Flights. The very next screen will give you the stopover options, and in my case gives me both London and Singapore on the drop down. I do find it odd that there seem to be so many different ways of processing bookings, all slightly different.
