My wife and I are going to Moorea / Bora Bora / Tahiti in late January 2012.

We are planning on staying at IC Moorea in a standard OWB with Breakfast for 4 nights, followed by 5 nights at IC Bora Bora Thalasso Emerald OWB with Breakfast and dinner. This has been quoted at $6,500 USD. (I live in Australia). $2000 USD (Moorea) + $4500 USD (Bora Bora)

Anyway I'm planning on joining Ambassador Club to get the free upgrade.

I'm also thinking of staying at at IC Tahiti for one night as our plane leaves at 8:10am, again staying in a lagoon view room (hoping for the upgrade to Panoramic view room.

Questions:

I've been looking on the IC website reservation section, is there a corporate code to enter to get better rates?

With included "dinner" at Thalasso, any ideas what this entitles you to?

If you want breakfast in the bungalow on your deck, at either Moorea / Bora Bora, do you forgo your entitlement to included breakfast or do you just pay the difference as a surcharge?

thanks, Daniel.
I stayed at both the IC Moorea and IC Thalasso just over a year ago on my honeymoon. If I were you I'd get the cheapest room possible at the IC Tahiti as it gets dark very early and you'll be leaving first thing in the morning the next day. Won't be much to see.

Your best bet at getting better rates is to use a travel agent. We did that and we had breakfast and dinner included. The dinner entitles you to a buffet at the main restaurant which has a very nice selection of both Polynesian and other types of food. One night they have a "4 Corners of the World" night and have food from all over the globe. It's not the best food I've ever had but it's good. You'll be very happy when you see how much it would have cost if it weren't included ($100+/pp)

As far as the breakfast goes, I'm not sure how that works. I'm assuming it will be an entirely new charge and you'll just lose out on having breakfast in the restaurant.
Definitely get the Ambassador's membership. It's well worth the money. We were upgraded at both properties to the highest level of room and were very happy with bottled water we received everyday.

PM me if you have any specific questions or want some tips!
