Masterchef is filmed in Sydney so it was SYD based; maybe that is the real Platinum+ benefit?
A bit OT, but is the F degustation menu also available MEL-LAX on the 747 or just A380 service? All of the trip reports I have seen have been for the A380 MEL-SIN-LHR route.
