Going to be on a flight tonight that is delayed by 1hr30 minutes. It's a turnaround flight to ATL and the inbound aircraft is 2hrs delayed (hasn't taken off yet).

The Delta website says "baggage must be present at the check-in counter and checked in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time."

So even though I know with all certainty that my flight is delayed 1hr30mins because the plane isn't there, I have to get there at least 2hrs before my flight now to check bags? Anyone had any success checking bags with a delayed flight later than the 30 minute window?
