I am approved for a Amex Business card but have not received it yet. It may take some time to have it active. It has $3000 minimum spend on it to get 25000 Points. I need to make a purchase now and would like to put it on the new card but the purchase can not wait. Can I put it on the existing Gold Card and then when I get the new card, ask the merchant to make a refund and a new charge? Has anyone done that before?
