Not really sure what you're trying to say here since the X is actually a very well accepted abbreviation for Christ. The letter X has been in use for centuries as I understand it, not really anything new.

As for the original posting, I appreciate that there are still employers that are willing to give their staff time off for holidays. I currently work in an industry that would dictate that my employer should be open for Christmas Eve yet we aren't. We all count this as a very good perk from our employer and are that much happier to work there because we know there are a lot of other places like us that don't do that. In the end, would one day without maid service kill me? Not really. Have to applaud that "small company" feel.
