How could OP be possibly be put on a later flight that would potentially be oversold, more than once no less??

One would get compensation only if they have a confirmed seat on whatever flight is oversold. If they are on the waitlist this doesn't count. I guess theoretically it could happen, but I'm surprised as well. Rather than saying OP is not being honest I guess either he will enjoy 2k in benefits or not and that will be their reward or not reward.
