I was flying EK J class, 777-LR.
Though I should have followed
Eightblack's advice, and routed the flight to IAH (for reasons EK flyers will understand)
LAX-DXB, turned out to be 17 hours, close to 18.
I'm never doing that again. Even in F.
Since I probably won't have anyone to pick up the tab to fly EK this time, I'll probably be flying UA
.
Note : United's flight, as of May 2012 continues on to DOH (IAD->DXB->DOH). So if you have a reason to go to DOH, you could easily sneak in a "stopover".
