Catering can be on the hardest things airlines have to do. At times when the budget isn't big enough to do it right, catering should be kepted simple.

For me AA has the best Breakfast going, and its simple, the Steel Cut oats are excellent. US has a excellent French Toast that comes in second.

UA has the best lunch service, Salad or Sandwhich and soup, this meal is excellent, the southwest chicken salad and Tortilla soup is by far the best combo..

AA has a great dinner Shrimp cocktail to start, Chicken and mushroom sauce then for desert sundae...

IF AS really wants to be competitive when it comes to meals, look at other airlines. Don't try to reenvent something..
