This isn't an issue with the New UA not having it's act together but the way sUA computer system deals with tickets and reservation records.

I deal with this issue almost every flight I am a gate agent for. It is what it is until we all go to the same computer operating system. Believe me it is frustrating for all of us, sUA and sCO.
