Done all the churns so my keepers:

#1 Card-- BofA Virgin Altantic- Most of my spending: Worth the $90 fee for 1.5 miles per any dollar and minimum 1K miles for any Hertz or Avis rental. AmEx so good at Costco where I shop a lot. Miles good for CO and US tickets and other partners.

#2 Card-- Chase Amtrak- No fee ever and miles transferable to CO (UA?) For where the Virgin AmEx isn't accepted.

Normally Sock Drawers keepers:

Barclays US Air- 10K miles for $90 annual fee, 5K reduced rewards, preferred boarding, etc. In sock drawer until Grand Slam and US flights.

Chase Priority Club- $49 fee gets free room cert.

The US and Virgin are churnable so no telling which generation of them I'll have or whether I'll actually have to pony up an annual fee for US. The Chases are mostly to keep my Chase credit line.

Cars and Costco go on Virgin. Probably will use it more than the AmTrak for daily spend too, but AmEx doesn't get accepted everywhere.
