The OP is starting from TYS, not SFO. The 50K roundtrip special award between SFO and HND does not include connecting domestic travel.

Thanks but this was noted. The bottom line is the special award is 50% off. He can find a cheap paid option to SFO and still be far ahead in terms of miles saved.
