For 2 people round-trip India to USA would be:
United/Continental (Chase partner): 160,000 miles on Star Alliance partners
British Airways (Chase and Amex): 180,000 - 200,000 miles (depending on where in USA and India you are going), but BA also charges fuel surcharges, which could be about $700/passenger, making BA not a good partner for points redemption.
ANA (Amex partner): 130,000-150,000 miles on ANA, Star Alliance, or Virgin Atlantic
Delta (Amex partner): 160,000 miles on Skyteam partners (Air France/KLM and Korean)
Frankly, as someone who travels to India, using mileage for Economy travel may not be a good idea since you're
(1) restricted to award availability
(2) may have to pay fuel surcharges on top of the mileage
You can use your Chase points and AMEX points as cash to buy tickets, on which you would earn airline miles (20,000 - 25,000 depending on the routing). IME, using mileage for anything less than business class to India isn't really worth it, especially if your points are as good as cash.
