Either of these would have shown that OP was an AAdvantage member via the Citi Black card. Swiping the card or the OP's AAdvantage card would have allowed entrance. In the future the OP, or anyone in OP's situation, should ask to have the card swiped. In my case, I simply present my EXP card, which has worked without exception since I switched to the Citi Black card.
