We usually sleep with the lanai doors open if our room catches the trades. If so, the crashing of the waves can keep you up at night. Just to be clear, I think you mean you don't have to worry about NOT hearing the ocean. You will hear it. Of course, you have much more experience sleeping around the resort (

), but I find the crashing of the waves sleep
inducing.
