The lounge agents should be given correct information on the card
Could you not have just paid for lounge access with the card and then claim it back off of Citibank once it was seen that the agent wouldn't permit access
That the laminated card of allowed cards is incorrect is a fault with AA/Citibank and nit the agent imo
