That works fine for VFR but on an ILS approach the 3 degree glideslope does not change with traffic. All approaching a/c take essentially the same path down, which is another reason why spacing is so critical. Even on a GNSS approach in VMC the "step-down" points will make most approaching aircraft fly a similar path down at least most of the time.
Lots of licenced pilots here... Perhaps an AC forum fly-in miniDO is in order?
