I started flying EK this past October and have enough flights booked over the next two months to get Gold. I emailed them asking for them to status match and within a few days I was Gold. Quick, easy, painless process.

Now, if only I could get a roundtrip F ticket for 140k miles like *A I would be happy. It seems the miles needed on EK for flights are remarkably high.
