I beg to differ. While it is true that there will be less "competition" for SEs for upgrade and other tangible benefits, you are making the assumption that the entire Top Tier program benefits were funded by SEs only. I dont believe that if "everyone" else is abandoning the program (the 800,000 Es and Ps), the Top Tier program will not suffer, or worst, Air Canada for that matter.
While SEs are the most important group of customers to AC, as are the J customers, AC cannot survive without the significant number of "economy" class customers.
