I agree with the comments on other hotels. I hear there are some great boutique hotels in SF particularly Campton Place. I have stayed at the RC there which was fine but like every other RC in the world.
I would be wary of Camptom Place. It isn't terrible, but we did a weekend there once and the room had an inordinate amount of noise in the morning. It wasn't construction or anything, it seems roof HVAC or Mechanical related. This was 5AM-type stuff so we didn't ask to move, but I thought for the price & reputation this was not welcome.
