Really means nothing as an international flyer who goes through Frankfurt all the time. *gold (senator lounge, priority security through tight transits) and t+ upgrades are really the only perks worth while, and both are being removed.
Going through Heathrow,CDG, Qatar, etc with other airlines just became a lot more enticing since now I will not be worried to get Elite status.
