I really hope they don't try to deny the bonus to me, I have screenshots of my approval screen promising 50k points for that $1000 spend. It literally says, quote, "Congratulations, TheBOSman, you are now an American Express cardholder." "Get 50,000 Membership Rewards bonus points after you spend $1,000 in your first 3 months of card membership". It was my first AMEX card ever of anything issued by AMEX, so that might make a difference. I've spent $1000 and yet to have my first statement so I should find out soon.
