Hmmm, having just activated my Gold OneSmart account 2 weeks ago, my new Silver card has arrived in anticipation of my fall from semi-grace AP Gold to mere AP Silver on 01 Jan 12.

The fine print advises that I'll have to activate my new OneSmart account on the Silver card and link it to my Gold card OneSmart account, for which the AP Gold status will very shortly expire. What a hassle. I presume that if I regain AP Gold I'll get a third OneSmart (I now really doubt the 'smart' part) card that I can link to my original Gold AP account and ..... $%@#@#

I wonder why the OneCard account number simply could not be transferred to the new Silver AP card? No doubt there is a reason..... and I suppose I can still use the Gold card OneSmart account as it will still be linked to my AP account.

But I seriously doubt I'll bother with any of this any further. More entertainment has been had snapping up loads of $1-$12 GAS bookings and entering them into the airpoints lucky seven 'fishing' competition.....
