Hey. I'm a brand newbie here from the AAdvantage forums and i wish to expand my knowledge to other areas

For late 2012 and 2013 i have in mind doing several long haul flights. Oceania and Asia. Never been there before, i wonder if a RTW ticket would be a wise choice. I'm based in Caracas,Venezuela and origin would be from this location.

Here's the thing i'm completely clueless about everything. Have just opened this sub-forum for the very first time lurking these spaces and have yet to read this thread or the FAQ.

I want to know if it would be a good idea to buy an Explorer ticket and for how much. I only have the means to fly in Y or maybe J if you can find me a very good deal of some sort.

I want to do a trip in 2012 to Australia and New Zealand. Fly QF A380, and spend sometime in the major cities of those countries.

Then in another occasion lets say in 2013 fly to Asia, meet all the major cities and several countries in Asia. Like a RTW but inside Asia.

Can someone input what's the best product for myself? Of course i have to research but i would like to have first hand info from your experiences. It is very important someone quotes me an approximate of USD, so i can get an idea.
