The CO reservation system really makes me nostalgic for the old days of IT. Back before we had today's powerful and robust distributed database software that can easily manage huge amounts of data spread over multiple servers, we had to compartmentalize the software into small functional units that each managed their own limited datasets. This necessitated a whole lot of duplication of data and led to endless fun debugging communication and synchronization problems. I'll bet they have to hire old geezers like me to maintain their systems because today's generation of programmers wouldn't know what to make of it!
